Does the cold weather put you off your exercise?

Ever let yourself use the excuse "It's too cold to exercise"? Here's something to help you get past that.

Some researchers have suggested that you actually burn more calories when you exercise during the colder months. This does seem logical to me, because the body has to work harder just to keep you warm when it's cold, therefore expending more energy. So when you exercise in cold weather, not only is the body working harder burning calories to get you warm quickly, but you're also burning additional calories from doing the workout itself.

Knowing this can help you with motivation. This is especially important now, as we are more like to comfort eat as the mercury tumbles.
